Dr. Vincenzo Sellaro Lodge
Fundraiser to Benefit
670 Motor Pkwy, Hauppauge, NY 11788
Monday, May 7, 2018
$25 per person
All proceeds will benefit Kyle.
Kyle was born in China with bi-lateral microtia
(underdeveloped ear) and atresia (no ear canal).
His loving parents, Nanci and Stephen Loccisano,
adopted him in 2010.
Stephen and Nanci have met and continue to meet
Kyle’s medical needs.
Kyle has undergone three surgeries since he has
been home in the U.S.
With the rising out-of-pocket expenses of $12,000
for the Cochlear BAHA 5 hearing sound processors, and
the cost of safety lines, batteries and items associated
with the hearing processor, Kyle needs help, especially
since he is prone to infections around the abutment
will always need a hearing processor, and in the future,
there may be reconstruction of his ears.
The Loccisano family has been involved
in the Sellaro Lodge since 1996. Stephen served in
several capacities on the lodge council and was elected
president of the lodge in 2005. Three years ago he
precipitated our involvement in what has become our
annual plant sale. Currently, Stephen is instrumental in
raising funds at Convention, where he and Rocco
Loccisano work tirelessly for three days. Rocco, Kyle’s
grandfather, was president of our lodge in 2009 and
2010. He is generous to our lodge, and usually supplies
us with the pastry and donuts at our meetings. Rocco has
assumed responsibility for purchasing and transporting
the bread on St. Joseph’s Day. Just like every doting
grandfather, his grandchildren are the loves of his
Siena Village Breakfast
Siena Village Community Center
Sunday, May 20, 2018
We will be providing breakfast for the residents of
Siena Village senior community in
Smithtown. Most of the residents walk to the Community
Center, however, those who are
homebound will have breakfast delivered to them.
This is a special day for us in that we have an
opportunity to provide community service to a group of
people who truly appreciate our endeavor.
With the exception of our cooks, volunteers need to
arrive by 8 a.m. Breakfast is served at 9:00 a.m.
Deliveries to the homebound begin earlier. There are a
variety of things to do: food preparation, delivery to
the homebound who are within a short walking distance of
the Community Center, setting the tables, serving food
and coffee, cleaning up.
We are usually all packed and ready to leave by 11 a.m.
Sister Cissy and Brother Sal Morturano are chairing this
To volunteer see either of them at our next general
meeting or call them at 631-724-0467.
You will have a very rewarding morning.
