Your membership in the Sons of Italy:

  

  • Promotes Italian language and culture locally, statewide and nationally.
  • Helps educate the general public about the achievements and contributions of Italian Americans in U.S. history.
  • Supports scholarships to young Italian Americans at leading universities.
  • Contributes to medical research, disaster relief efforts, education, cultural preservation and other important projects.

  

Membership Requirements and Responsibilites

 

  • Eligibility 
    In order to become a member of the Dr. Vincenzo Sellaro Lodge and the Order Sons of Italy in America,  you must be Italian or of Italian descent, or the spouse or adopted child of a person of Italian descent.
  • Dues
    The Sellaro Lodge membership dues are $53 per year for regular members and $49 per year for senior citizens, and there is a one time $25 initaition fee.
  • Meetings
    Members are not required to attend a minimum number of meetings during the year, but are encouraged to become active.  When you can't make a meeting, your monthly newsletter will help keep you up to date with the lodge.

  

How to join

 

All potential members are required to attend one of our information sessions.  This will give you the chance to see what our lodge is all about and meet some of our members.  If after hearing about our organization you wish to become a member, your name will be read to our membership, and if approved, you will be given the opportunity to become a member of the Sellaro Lodge and the Order Sons of Italy in America.
